Samsung SGH F490 Released on Vodafone – Samsung F490 UK
The new SGH F490 from Samsung has today been released on Vodafone in the UK, the Samsung F490 is a brand new touchscreen phone with some very interesting features.
Further network releases are expected soon but the Samsung F490 is exclusively available from Vodafone for a limited time period.
The Samsung SGH-F490 features a 5 mega pixel camera with video capture & playback and built-in flash.
The 240 x 432 pixel TFT touchscreen display measures 3.2 inches and supports 262,000 colours, making texting and browsing easier and images appear sharper, having done away completely with a hardware keyboard.
With a design similar to that of the LG Prada fashion phone, the Samsung F490 enjoys the benefits of EDGE Technology, UMTS connectivity and is HDSPA enabled.
The Music Player onboard supports MP3, AAC and AAC+ audio file formats and apart from the standard SMS and MMS messaging options, the Samsung F490 comes with email messaging, all accompanied by a 1000 entry phonebook.
Launched at the same time as the Samsung P720, the Samsung F490 with access to 3G Services ranging from the latest news and sports headlines direct to your mobile to online shopping, movie trailers and top comedy clips, will keep you fully entertained and up to date at all times.
With USB connectivity files are easily copied between your PC and mobile and with Bluetooth Wireless Technology equipped with A2DP Stereo support, handsfree is another great option to have available.
A secondary front mounted camera dedicated to video calling adds for a more personalised conversation, whilst the microSD card slot allows for expansion of the phone’s existing 103MB shared memory.
Other features of the handset include a 3.5mm audio jack, Google Search and multitasking.
