UPDATE: T-Mobile MDA Compact IV Now Available !

It been some time since the last MDA Compact was released but here it is, the MDA Compact IV 4 Windows Smartphone showing off an Exclusive T-Mobile design with a black mirrored finish.
Equipped with a 4GB internal flash memory and HSDPA 3G connectivity capable of data transfer speeds of 7.2Mbps, the T-Mobile MDA Compact IV 4 is impressive.
Boasting WiFi capabilities for use in hotspot areas, the T-Mobile MDA Compact 4 IV has certainly caught up with today’s demands having come a long way since the days of the MDA Compact III 3.
The VGA touchscreen complete with a 3D animation interface displays 640 x 480 pixels and the operating system is none other than Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
The primary 3 mega pixel camera comes with autofocus and inbuilt flash and the presence of a secondary camera for video calling is a welcomed attribute.
Apart from the primary and secondary camera’s, the T-Mobile MDA Compact 4 includes a Music Player with support for multiple audio file formats and an integrated GPS Satellite Navigation System for finding your way around new Cities, tracking your route and highlighting points of interest.
Bluetooth wireless with A2DP stereo support is amongst its specification as is the fact that the T-Mobile MDA Compact IV 4 is MyFaves compatible.

Does any one have a release date yet. I was told about the phone back in January but am still waiting.

The bloke in the t-mobile shop told me in the next quarter but probably by the end of May. That was 2 weeks ago but haven’t seen anything official yet. He also said it was likely some of the cost would need to be paid for.

Called T-MOBILE last week and was told that it would be available within 2 weeks as they have it on their system as coming soon. Hope this helps.

Oh and the Compact MDA IV is also Known as the HTC DIAMOND.

Spoke to T-Mobile today, said that compact iv due to come out July, its not cheap!

Like Sam… I’ve just spoken to 3 different departments at T-Mobile (0845 412 2401) and the final guy was very helpful and said that the MDA Compact 4 has appeared on their internal system as coming soon… and from his experience the phones normally get released a few weeks after they appear on that system.

Ive just got off the phone with T-Mobile, as I called for my recent upgrade. I asked for the HTC Diamond and was given the name of MDA Compact 4. Ive also been told that its coming out in couple of weeks, no later than july!!!
I cant wait to get mine, but i guess ill just have to !!!

I work for T-mobile has not been released yet but has been sitting on our internal site for over a month now. Should be out in the next few weeks dont see it being any later than that. HTC may be holding it just to make sure no faults on any of the software. Will let you know when it comes out!

Just spoken to T Mobile and it’s out now.
Unfortunately, I want the same phone with keyboard (Vario 4) and they don’t have a release date for that yet so I will just have to wait.

I got my MDA compact IV on upgrade today. This is aviable from T-mobile direct for now. You can get it from T-Mobile Shop from Augest. This phone is very good specilay the motion feature.
